does noone else have this issue?

It seems that our NetBeans plugin that adds this functionality does not work correctly for you. Since you had problems with installation - this could be the issue - plugin was not installed correctly. Sometimes there are problems with permissions to write inside NetBeans folder. Try to set NetBeans folder +w to all and then try to reinstall Pogamut.
After installation go in NetBeans to Tools > Plugins. There click on the Installed tab, there should be some Pogamut plugins (category uncategorized). What is their status? What plugins do you have there?
If it does not work, than it will be probably pogamut/linux issue. Currently no one from the team is testing Pogamut on linux as far as I know. On windows the UT servers tab in services works ok.

This successfully works around the installer issue, but I still dont have a UT server node.

I have the following uncategorized plugins, all are active:
PogamutNbBase
nb-lib-fsmengine
PogamutDefconNbTemplates
PoshEditor
PogamutNbUT2004Sposh
PogamutNbUT2004

are any missing?

No. Nothing is missing. Everything seems allright.

Do you have 32Bit Java? 64Bit Java was causing some problems. Do you have you NetBeans 6.1 updated (Help > Check for updates)?

So far I don't have any other ideas, I'll bring up this issue on our next meeting (monday). But I am a bit sceptical since no one is using Pogamut with linux right now. Do you have access to some windows computer? Does it work there?

Yes I am running 32bit Java and Netbeans is up to date.

It would be really great if someone could look into this issue, until then I have to use pogamut in windows.

I do have a windows installation also, and it works fine there. The installation of plugins has the same issues with netbeans folder permissions as under linux though.

I have this same problem. I am running on Windows 7, netbeans 6.9.1 (SE), updated, and I have all the same plugins installed. Though, I did initially have the same problem as Gordon; when I ran netbeans under administrator, it installed all the plugins that it would not before (though I had previously installed them manually).

Hey again,

I just wanted to mention that I reinstalled netbeans again and this time installed pogamut then started up netbeans with administrator privileges and it installed everything and seems to be working fine now. I haven't tested anything, but the services tab works now with pogamut options.

The problem with the plugins is not the writable rights, at least in my case netbeans tells me:

My question is simple...WHERE THE HELL ARE THE LAST VERSION OF THESE PLUGINS??? and why they work for other people but not to me???

Hi!

What version of NetBeans are you using? Current version of plugin is built for NetBeans of version 7.1.x.

Note that NetBeans itself is composition of various plugins having their own versions, which explains the mess you see.

Try NB from here: http://netbeans.org/downloads/7.1.2/index.html

I recommend to uninstall all NetBeans you have first.

I have 7.1, everything works fine but I can not see the UT2004 server in service because these plugins can not be installed. Even if I can not finally install it, how can I run my bot in another Server that is not the localhost 127.0.0.1, one server with another IP, I dont see any place in the code where to change it ....

Try to uninstall your NB + Pogamut platform, try to install clean NB 7.1.2 and reinstall Pogamut platform.

About the code... find the MAIN method and there is UT2004BotRunner ... use setAddress, setPort methods to override defaults.
