I tried for many instructions, and nothing...

Hi

I want to install everything with regard to of programming the bots of ut2004. I have long been to try, but I do not work.

Can you please write how to install all STEP by STEP.
I tried for many instructions, and nothing...

i have win 7 , x 86 based pc, 32 bit

But what is (in Pogamut3_Lecture_01.pdf) : ?

Set $PATH to point to the ‘bin’ directory of the Subversion installation
E.g. C:\Program files\Subversion\bin

What is $PATH ?

AND...
Set $PATH to ‘bin’ directory of the Maven installation
E.g. C:\Program files\apache-maven-3.0.2\bin

Set $MAVEN_OPTS=-Xmx1g –Xms512m

Hi Lucas,
you have a long road before you :-)

I assume you're using Windows correct?

$PATH refers to the system variable (as well as other $...), try Start -> type: edit system variables and it should pop up you the option.

I hope you've also managed to obtain correct Maven version + installed some senseful SVN client? Always check whether the path you're going to use are pointing to correct dirs.

OK, now i know how set $path
(i set $path and $MAVEN_OPTS in (computer/ system properties/Advanced system Settings/environment variables (premenne prostredia ) )

but, svm tells me error:
Error: svn://artemis.ms.mff.cuni.cz/pogamut/trunk/project/gamebots doesn't exist

&

My directory of ut2004 is D:\Program Files\UT2004\ ( no D:\Program Files\UT2004-Devel\) (but this is moybe stupids)

Where did you find this adress? Its old. The projects in svn were shifted to another folders. The correct one for GameBots is now:

svn://artemis.ms.mff.cuni.cz/pogamut/trunk/project/Main/Gamebots

the rest of Pogamut projects are in

svn://artemis.ms.mff.cuni.cz/pogamut/trunk/project/Main/

use repo-browser if you are using TortoiseSVN.

Hi, I think that the step with downloading GameBots from SVN is optional, Gamebots should be already included in the standalone installer. This is needed only if you are going to modify GameBots source code or if you need to update frequently to match the latest release.

Am I right guys?

And one additional question, are you going to code bots for UDK or UT2004, you have mentioned UT2004 but you are posting to UDK section of forum.
